An arcade game for iPhone. Fly a pigeon over the city, line up the ring and time the drop. Everything below answers common questions. If your question is not here, email us.

How to play
- Hold to fly and you climb. Let go and you fall. Pull down to brake.
- Targets are marked on the street below. Tap PLOP to drop on them.
- A shadow tracks under you so you always know your height: tight and dark near the rooftops, wide and faint from up high.
- Below twenty-five metres the exact clearance appears on screen. Below fifteen it turns into a warning. Hitting the ground is the only thing that ends a run.
- Clip a target and you score. Hit the middle and the combo climbs. Miss and you lose the combo, but you keep flying.
Requirements
iPhone running iOS 15.0 or later. The game is landscape only and plays with two thumbs: one flies, one drops.
The Splat Legend Pack
One payment, no subscription. It adds two more birds and two more splat colours. That is all it does. It changes nothing about scoring, speed or difficulty, and there is nothing else to buy in the game.
Four birds and four splat styles unlock purely by playing, at 5, 20 and 50 lifetime splats. Those are never sold.
The pack is set up for Family Sharing, so one purchase covers everyone in your family group.
Restoring a purchase
New phone, or reinstalled the game? Open the store screen from the nest and tap RESTORE. Sign in to the same Apple Account that made the purchase first, or Apple has nothing to give back.
If RESTORE does not bring the pack back, email us with the date of purchase and we will look into it. Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us: use reportaproblem.apple.com.
Lost scores and unlocks
Runs, records and gameplay unlocks are stored in the app's local data. Splatbird has no account sync, so they normally disappear when you delete the app or move to a new phone. Apple may restore them as part of an iPhone or iCloud backup. A purchased pack comes back through RESTORE when you use the same Apple Account.
Sound, haptics and accessibility
- Separate volume controls, and haptics can be turned off entirely.
- A left-handed layout swaps the fly and drop sides.
- A reduced motion option calms the screen effects.
All of these live in Settings, reachable from the main menu. If something in the game is hard to use, tell us. That is a bug worth fixing.
Privacy
Scores, progress and settings stay in the app's local data. Splatbird sends limited, purchase information linked to a random app user ID to RevenueCat for purchase validation, restoration and aggregate purchase analytics. It has no advertising or tracking. Read the Splatbird privacy policy for full details.
